Privacy Policy

This policy explains how itAtlas ("we", "us") handles information. The short version: the application does not collect your data, because it never leaves your device.

1. The application (app.itatlas.app)

itAtlas is a local-first application. When you use it, your estate data — assets, relationships, licences and everything you enter or import — is created and stored entirely within your web browser on your own device (using browser storage). It is never transmitted to us and we have no ability to access it. There are no user accounts, and we set no analytics or advertising cookies in the app.

• Backups. When you create a backup, the file is encrypted on your device with a passphrase you choose and saved wherever you direct it. We never receive it and cannot decrypt it.
• Optional AI import. If you choose to enable AI-assisted import, you supply your own third-party AI provider key, and only spreadsheet column headers and a small sample of rows are sent directly from your browser to that provider to determine a column mapping. This is optional and off by default; without it, mapping runs entirely on your device. Your use of a third-party provider is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.

2. This website (itatlas.app)

Our marketing website does not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Our web server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, request time and user-agent) for security and operational purposes, retained for a limited period. We do not use cookies to track you across sites.

3. When you contact us

If you email us (for example, [email protected]) we receive the information you send and use it solely to respond to and manage your enquiry. We do not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing.

4. Payments

When paid subscriptions are available, billing will be handled by a reputable third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details. Relevant terms will be updated here at that time.

5. Your rights

Because we hold almost no personal information, there is little to request — but you may contact us to ask what, if anything, we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. We handle personal information consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) where applicable.

6. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
